Overview
TotalRematch is a Spanish-speaking gaming community. It started around REMATCH, Sloclap’s football game, which is still its main game. From there it grew to other games the same people play together: EA SPORTS FC, Football Manager and others.
It is a community project by Alsatian Games. We created it, we run it and we built its technology. It keeps its own name, its own visual identity and its own website.
What happens there
- Discord is where everything is organised: finding teammates, forming teams and arranging the next match.
- Events and tournaments for all levels, like the TotalRematch 3v3 Kickoff, an afternoon of 3 vs 3 matches.
- Live streams of community matches. Gameplay is streamed without the group’s private voice chat, and viewers can join the next match from the chat or the Discord.
- Player cards: tournament participants can earn a personalised TotalRematch player card.
- Content on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok and Instagram.
The values are simple: Spanish-speaking, respectful, teamwork, participation and playing together.
Built from scratch
TotalRematch shows how we work across all four areas at once: community management, events, content, design and software. The community needed a public website, event pages and a way to run tournaments, so we built them. See TotalRematch web & tournament manager.
Why it matters to the studio
A community is a real environment. It is where we see how players behave, what makes people come back, and which tools actually get used. That experience feeds directly into how we design games and how we review them.
