This privacy policy explains how Alsatian Games collects, uses, stores and protects personal data submitted through this website.

Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights, and other applicable data protection legislation.

When you use the contact form or write to us, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your studio, team or company name, if you provide it.
  • A link to your game, build, store page or project, if you provide it.
  • The topic of your enquiry and the information you include in your message.

When you browse the website, our hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver the pages, such as your IP address and browser information.

Please do not submit passwords, payment card details, source code, sensitive personal data or any information that is not needed to answer your request.

  • To evaluate whether a game or project fits our services.
  • To prepare a proposed scope, price and delivery date.
  • To communicate with prospective clients before entering into an agreement.
  • To manage contracted playtesting, game design review, software development or consulting services.

  • To protect the website, prevent abuse and keep it secure.

Your data will not be used for marketing communications unless you have separately and expressly agreed to receive them.

5. Data retention

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement are kept for up to 12 months after the last communication.
  • Client and contractual information is kept for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the periods required by tax, accounting and other applicable laws.
  • Information needed for legal claims is kept while those responsibilities remain enforceable.
  • Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until consent is withdrawn, unless another legal basis requires or allows it to be kept.

Alsatian Games does not sell personal data. Personal data may be processed by providers that support the website and our services:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this website.
  • Formspree, which receives the contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
  • OVHcloud, our email provider.
  • Cloud storage, document management and payment providers, when needed for a contracted service.
  • Accounting, legal and administrative advisers.
  • Public authorities, where disclosure is required by law.

These providers only receive the information they need to provide their service and act as data processors where applicable.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When that happens, we rely on a safeguard recognised by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Where applicable, you can:

  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending information that is not needed for your request.

10. Confidential game and project information

Information about private builds, unreleased projects, prototypes and development materials is only used to evaluate or provide the requested service.

We do not publish screenshots, recordings, game materials, project details or case studies without prior permission from the project owner. Where more confidentiality is needed, we can agree separate confidentiality terms or a non-disclosure agreement.

11. Data provided on behalf of someone else

If you give us personal information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the person has been informed where required.

12. Minors

Our services are intended for adult developers, professional teams, studios and businesses. Minors should not submit personal data or project information without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. See the cookie policy.

This website links to external sites and social networks, including TotalRematch. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing personal information with them.

15. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of its last update.
